Solo Challenge & Record Maps

introducing SOlo Challenge Maps

We work with individuals heading off on remarkable, inspiring and record-breaking adventures

As well as providing tracking for events and races, we can also offer tracking for individuals. We’ve handled a wide range of requests over the years, but solo map builds are most commonly for charity fundraising adventures, long-distance challenges or record attempts.

Whether it’s a Christmas tractor run, a record-breaking circumnavigation or a fundraising trek through the Himalayas, we can build a map to suit. From its earliest days, our platform has been designed to cater to solo challenges, meaning that many features are included as standard with every build.

Need something bespoke? We can also customise maps to suit high-profile or unique challenges, such as world record attempts. Typically, any rebrand or custom skin will be at an additional cost, but we’re always happy to make smaller cosmetic tweaks within the standard map build fee. Just contact us to see what we can do.

Example SOLO Maps

Lael Wilcox – Around the World Record

In 2024, Lael Wilcox set a new record for circumnavigating the world by bike, completing her 29,169-kilometre journey in 108 days.

We provided Lael with a tracking map showing her planned route, allowing followers and friends to meet up with her along the way.

This map featured only a little customisation, but we did add a bespoke “daily average” field for each leg, allowing people to see how Lael’s pace changed as she progressed through the record.

Lachlan Morton – Great Southern Country

Supported by EF Pro Cycling, Lachlan Morton set out to break the record for cycling around Australia. This huge 14,000-kilometre distance is an epic challenge, but he still managed to take a week off the existing record.

For the map, we created a heavily customised layout, branding it in EF’s distinctive pink colours, whilst also adding a record progress bar at the bottom.

Fundraising for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation was a huge part of Lachlan’s motivation, so the map linked directly to their donation page. He ended up raising $120,000 for the charity.

Will Robinson – Running Across India

Will Robinson set out to run 700 kilometres across India in seven days, raising money for three charities. Fundraising was the main focus, so the charities’ logos and the donation page featured prominently.

We also customised the map to feature Will’s face as the tracker dot, making it a little more fun to follow his progress!

Although this was a solo map, Will’s support team were also tracked, allowing them to keep very close tabs on him throughout. Both trackers were set to 1-minute intervals to help with this.

Heading out on Your Own Adventure?

If you’re setting out to break a record, take on a fundraising challenge or just having an adventure, then get in touch to see if we can provide tracking. Our standard map build includes many features as standard, but we’re always curious to hear about any customisation requests as well.
