Record Attempt: AFRICA NORTH TO SOUTH

Setting off on 2nd January, Adrien Liechti is attempting to set the record for cycling from the northernmost point of Africa (Cap Angela, Tunisia) to the southernmost point (Cape Agulhas, South Africa).

Unlike the more familiar Cairo-to-Cape-Town route, this is a true end-to-end crossing of the African continent, starting and finishing at its two geographical extremities. A record exists in the opposite direction for running (set by the “Hardest Geezer”), but there is no documented completion of this journey by bike.

Adrien is attempting to become the first person to claim the record, whilst also setting a competitive benchmark. You can follow his progress here.
