We’re excited to be supporting Molly Weaver’s On The Edge project with live tracking this summer. This epic ride will see former professional cyclist Molly try to claim a cycling record that has stood for over 40 years, becoming the first woman to attempt it in the process. Read more about this challenge via a press release from the team behind it:
On the 15th June 2025, Molly will embark on a journey to set a new world record for the fastest circumnavigation of the British coastline by bike. This ambitious attempt will see her ride over 7730 kilometres (4800 miles) around the UK’s coastline with a goal of finishing in under 22 days, an achievement that has eluded athletes for decades.
Weaver, who already has a reputation for pushing her physical and mental limits in ultra races across the world, will need to ride for around 18 hours a day, contending with the unpredictable British weather, difficult terrain, and inevitable challenges that come with such an extreme test of endurance. The current record has stood at 22 days since 1984 despite multiple attempts, and this will mark the first time a woman has ever attempted the feat.
“This journey is more than just a sporting goal for me—it’s a very personal challenge to push myself beyond the limits I’ve previously known, and an opportunity to inspire others to step out of their comfort zones, take on new adventures, and discover what they’re truly capable of.” said Molly.
In addition to attempting to break the world record, Molly will be riding to raise funds for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), the charity dedicated to saving lives at sea and keeping the UK’s coastline safe.
