About FMC ICeland
FMC Iceland was established in 2023 by Tyler Wacker, race director of the Arna Westfjords Way Challenge. FMC EU provided tracking for the inaugural challenge in 2022, but Iceland’s remoteness meant that the creation of FMC Iceland was the logical next step. Since then, they have also tracked several trail running races across the country’s volcanic landscape.
The Team
Tyler Wacker
FMC IcelandTyler has called the Westfjords in Iceland home since 2020 after spending eight months biking across the US to reconnect with what’s important to him. He holds a master’s degree in Coastal Communities and Regional Development from the University Centre of the Westfjords, and his passion is to engage with the broader issues of place through biking. As part of Cycling Westfjords, his mission is to connect people and places through biking in Iceland.
