Introducing Follow My Pro Lite

We’re excited to announce the release of Follow My Pro Lite (FMP Lite), a new built-in tool now available to all event organisers. For all maps going forward, FMP Lite will be accessible via the map manager.

What is FMP Lite?

FMP Lite brings safety-focused anomaly detection directly to your event map – no separate setup, no extra tools. It’s a lightweight version of Follow My Pro, our bespoke race monitoring product used by professional race teams. FMP Lite shares the same visual style and alert framework, giving organisers powerful monitoring capabilities without the high-frequency updates and accelerated processing of the full product.

How it works

Activating FMP Lite takes a single click – the button is accessible both from the Map Manager dashboard and directly within the live map view (when logged in). Once active, participant dots are overwritten with a traffic light colour system indicating alert status and severity, with icons and labels appearing above any participant where an anomaly has been detected.

A configurable live ticker at the bottom of the map streams the latest data and alerts as they come in, and can be filtered by severity level to keep your focus exactly where it needs to be.

FMP Lite alerts can be set to also trigger audio notifications and include:

  • Off track: participant has left the assigned route
  • Idle: no movement detected
  • Backtracking: travelling in the wrong direction on a fixed route
  • Waiting for data: device connectivity or GPS fix issue

What this means for organisers

FMP Lite is designed to reduce the challenges of monitoring a field in real time. Rather than watching a map of moving dots and relying on intuition, you now have an active alerting layer that flags anomalies as they happen – giving your team the ability to react faster to situations that need attention.

Whether it’s a rider who has stopped unexpectedly in a remote location, someone who has gone off route or a tracker that has lost signal, FMP Lite surfaces those situations clearly and immediately. This kind of automated monitoring can be the difference between catching a problem early and missing it entirely. It provides a structured, prioritised view that keeps the most critical alerts front and centre.
